Our Story
It all began in the summer of 2001, when our founder Mike Sharp embarked on a mission to start up in business for himself. Being a "Jack Of All Trades, Master Of None" he consulted with a Business Advisor from NatWest Bank for best advice. "Buy a franchised business", he told him. "They're tried and tested business models, give help and assistance and have a proven track record for your business success. The bank will lend you the money to start up". So it was that he purchased a franchise with the help of his family and started trading as Impress Promotions Ashton. The franchise specialised in supplying personalised gifts on a B2B basis. Little support was provided by the franchisor and the business struggled to be profitable. Unfortunately approximately 2 years after purchasing the franchise the franchisor went into liquidation... He was down, but not out... Drastic action was required.
Impress Promotions Ashton was renamed to "Promota Logo". The business was re-tooled with new equipment to offer sublimation, vinyl transfer printing and embroidery personalisation. The company was now capable of offering a comprehensive product customisation and personalisation service... Look out world, Promota Logo means business!
Over the last 21 years, throughout the economic peaks and troughs the business has gone from strength to strength. Through shear hard work, tenacity and the will to please our customers, "Good Luck" and our success has been created.
